How large an area does one light tower illuminate?

A single light tower with 4 × 1,000W metal halide lamps at 7 metres mast height typically illuminates approximately 5,000 sqm to a general working light level. LED 4 × 200W units provide equivalent illumination at lower power consumption. For detailed lux calculations for your site, contact our technical team.

How many light towers do I need for a construction site?

A typical guideline is one light tower per 4,000–5,000 sqm of working area. For a medium construction site of 20,000 sqm, four to five light towers would provide adequate general illumination. Task lighting at specific work areas may require additional units.

Can the light tower be used in windy conditions?

Our 7m mast units are rated for operation in wind speeds up to 60 km/h. The 9m extended mast should be lowered in wind speeds above 40 km/h. All units include guy wire attachment points for additional stability in exposed locations. The mast lowers quickly for transport or adverse weather.
